Brian Roettinger | Issue #25

Brian Roettinger
Issue #25
San Francisco, USA: The Thing Quarterly, 2010
412 pp., 6.5 x 9", ota binding
Edition size unknown

The twenty-fifth issue of The Thing Quarterly (who have previously published works by Martin Creed, John Baldessari, Miranda July, Tauba Auerbach, Ryan Gander, James Franco, Tucker Nicols and others) was announced today.

Brian Roettinger is an LA-based artist and graphic designer who gained notoriety for his music packaging and album covers, most notably with bands: No Age, Liars, and Beach House. Issue #25
serves as a kind of catalogue raisonné, documenting the majority of Roettinger's design work produced to date. However, rather than a traditional monograph, the works here are reproduced as photocopies, presented without regard to chronology and in various states of completion. Sometimes a work is illustrated by an early sketch or rough draft, or a printers proof.

It is available from the publishers, here, for $60.00 US.
