Published in conjunction with the exhibition "Three or More-Multiplied art from Duchamp to the Present", October 1992 at Wacoal Art Center of Spiral Garden, Tokyo, this title remains the best reference book on the subject of Artists' Editions. The volume includes a six-page introduction and a transcription of a round-table discussion between the editors, gallerist Esther Schipper and Isabel Graw, co-editor of Texte zur Kunst magazine. The four attempt to answer the question "How would you define multiples today?". The remainder of the book consists of illustrated listings of artists' multiples and three-dimensional editions, arranged alphabetically by artist and chronologically by work. There are over 2,500 entries in total, with 700 of them illustrated.
